Love for Jesus

In John 17 Jesus prays. The prayer moves from the immediate, to Christ's disciples, and then to all disciples who will come to believe. Here the prayer draws to a close, as Jesus continues to speak to His Father.

I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.’ John 17:26

That's an amazing prayer. Jesus asks that the love His Father has for Him will be deposited into us. Therefore, our love for Jesus is an answer to His prayer and our love for Him has a divine quality flowing from the Father's heart. Our worship of Jesus is not simply a feeling, it is a manifestation of the continuing love that the Father has for His Son, flowing from out of us!

May Christ's prayer be continually answered through us – Amen!
