Kingdom of God

I won't keep you long - it's the weekend. Hopefully Sunday will provide a safe and healthy environment for your continuing journey in Christ.

If you have the time, amidst a messed up and possible crowded weekend schedule, use the Lord's prayer, you can find it in Matthew 6:9-13, or use a form you're more familiar with. Here's one,

Our Father, who art in heaven , halloed be Your Name

Your Kingdom come

You will be done

On Earth as it is in Heaven

Give us today our daily bread

Forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who have sinned against us

Lead us, not into temptation, but deliver us from evil

Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory

Forever and ever, Amen.

Saturday | the mission

The Ord's Prayer is written in the plural, so why not pray it once for yourself, and then again for others. Others outside of church life, individuals you might know, people in your community that you don't. Use the privilege of prayer to bless others as a form of outreach. [1 Timothy 2:1-4]

Sunday | the church

Pray for your local church community. Pray for the leaders, small group facilitators, pastoral workers, and the host of servants,. Pray for those you know and those you hardly know at all. Pray for Christ's church will be faithful and active in advancing the Kingdom of God. Amen. [Ephesians 6:18-20]

The Lord's Prayer - but a style that won't be everyone's cup of tea.
